A dispute over a mattress set lead to the death of a man after he was crushed by a van. Earl Payne, 54, was found guilty by an Orleans Parish jury of manslaughter for killing Joseph Robinson, 60. Payne now faces a maximum of 40 years when he is sentenced on May 30.
