Fire destroys mattress materials warehouses
Nakhon Pathom - Two warehouses of raw materials for making mattress was destroyed in a fire Monday, police said. Police said the fire began at the warehouse in Tambon Bangkaew of Nakhon Pathom's Nakhon Chaisri district at noon.

Tritton donates Evac-U-Splint
Local mining company Straits Tritton Copper generously donated an Evac-U-Splint to the Nyngan ambulance station last week. The Evac-U-Splint adult mattress represents the latest development in providing full body stabilisation when lifting or moving a patient to a stretcher or cot for transport.
Ortho Mattress Acquires Gallery Corp.
Cerritos, Calif.-based Ortho Mattress Inc. announced its acquisition of Los Angeles-based Gallery Corp., owner of Mattress Gallery stores in Southern California. The acquisition brings Ortho Mattress locations to 90 throughout the United States.
Squatters blamed for fire in empty building
A firefighter suffered a slight foot injury while putting out a fire that started at 7:45 p.m. yesterday in an abandoned four-storey building on St. Antoine St. W. between Mountain and Peel Sts. Flames spread from a mattress on the third floor, likely used by squatters, firefighters said. No one was found in the building and the flames were quickly brought under control.
