To build a new Ferndale courthouse in place of the aging one in a former mattress factory, city officials saved money for a decade and reviewed plans for the last three years. The plans called for the project to cost as much as $9 million, and the proposals included a possible expansion of the city's police station and renovation of City Hall.
Annual outdoor musical opens July 23 in New Hope
The classic tale of the princess and the pea will unfold beginning Thursday, July 23, in this summer's Off Broadway Musical Theatre (OBMT) version of "Once Upon a Mattress" at the New Hope Outdoor Theatre in Civic Center Park.
I recently read a short story by Woody Allen in which he satirizes the justice system via a story about a cop on the trail of perpetrators who have stolen someone's mattress labels. Allen can go the route of absurdity, but with "Match Point" he's deadly serious.
Just not a morning person! by Sonya Fladun I’ve never been much of a morning person, but this is even more so since parenthood. In any battle where my will power is supposed to prevail over my soft, warm mattress, well the mattress obviously has an unfair advantage.
