Day care provider sentenced in boy’s death
A Topeka day care provider has been sentenced to 32 months in prison in the death of a 6-month-old boy in her care. Thirty-five-year-old Michelle Bolze-Sann was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in November. She was operating a licensed day care at her home in July 2007 when the napping infant, Zachary David Typer, became wedged between the mattress and a railing at the foot of a bed.

Sleepy's plans to offer up to $20 million to buy bankrupt rival Rockaway Bedding, according to a published report. A Sleepy's attorney stated the mattress retailer's interest Thursday during a bankruptcy hearing for Rockaway Bedding, The Star-Ledger of Newark reported.
