One person died and two others suffered from smoke inhalation early Wednesday when a mattress caught fire on the fourth floor of the Bronaugh Apartments, which were evacuated, authorities said.
Fire crews are investigating what may have sparked an overnight fire at a north Lexington home. Investigators say it looks like the fire started on a mattress on the second floor of the home. Crews were able to put the fire out quickly, and the home suffered some smoke and water damage.
